Drawing Class Jam

During my hiatus I have been trying to become a better artist. It dawned on me that I should take a college level drawing class. I've taken art classes before but I haven't been in a drawing class since highschool. My graphic design art classes all involved drawing but not in a basic how to draw properly perspective, they were from the point of you should know how to do basic drawing (and of course I thought I did). I started taking my current drawing class in August and on the first day of class I learned one of the biggest drawing mistakes that I was making. I always would draw flat on the surface of a desk or table. But when drawing you should draw with your artwork tilted up or verticle. This one piece of advice was worth going to the art class. I can't wait to show off my new and improved work.
The images on the this post are from the artclass that I am taking. One being the still life and the other being my line drawing of the still life. Alright heres to progress! This drawing class is going to help me realize my full potential. Its exciting just thinking about it.

To be Extraordinary!

(Above is an image of Hot Toy's Baby Doll from the Sucker Punch movie. One of my favorite Toys)

Okay I find it strange that I go on hiatus for a few months and I feel perfectly fine. Then the week that I return from my hiatus I fall extremely ill (I caught a bad cold). I went on hiatus to improve on my drawing abilities and to rest from stress. I considered my hiatus to be necessary and I am glad that I did it but I believe that it was not moving me forward. I find that posting blogs, creating artwork and collecting items, I find that to be progressive I believe that is the force that moves me forward. I guess my point is is that as soon as I decide to continue to pursue my dreams, it seems as if life jumps out of its way to stop me or slow me down. I find it strange that it just so happens that I got sick as soon as I started moving forward with my goals and dreams.
Maybe life does try to hold us back from realizing our full potential. Maybe that is life's way of separating  successful people from average people. Maybe its lifes way of separating extraordinary people from successful people. Maybe I'm being to sensitive and the whole thing is just a strange coincidence. Maybe I am still feeling the after effects of the sinus medication that I'm taking. Either way I desire to be successful. I desire to be extraordinary. I desire to create art full time for a living and I will not let anything stop me.
I am pressing on through hell and high water, through thick and thin, through giant robots and angry dragons. I refuse to be ordinary! I am pressing on to be extraordinary!

Brand New Rei Ayanami

Alright I just got my Rei Ayanami figure in the mail. She is a character from the anime show Neon Genesis Evangelion. Manufactured by Yamato designed by Shunya Yamashita and sculpted by Mitsumasa Yoshizawa (REFLECT). Altogether I have five figures that are designed by this team and they are among my favorites. Finally she is all mine! It feels like I was waiting for ever for her to come. I'm still geeking out about this one.

New Challenger! Cammy!

Capcom Girls Collection: Cammy (Pink Uniform) Is one of my new figures that I ordered online. It came in the mail today so I just got her. The best part is is that she is a pretty old figure and it is difficult to find a new unopened one for a reasonable price. It is amazing that I bought it at the normal retail price considering most anime figures price continues to go up as they get older (unopened figures).

"Twitten By"...

Whats up internet world? Just wanted to let you all know about my new twitter page. I'll be tweeting about the different stuff that I collect and I'll show you what I draw in my sketch book. Hope you enjoy.
